 You can be the best businessman in the world, but if you don't understand writing press releases, then you're going to have a much tougher time promoting your business than if you know how to create optimized press releases. If you don't understand how to agressively promote whatever product or service you're trying to sell, it's almost as if you're throwing away all of the hard work you've done. That's silly, and a waste of time. I think it's important for the people in charge of any company to have a handle on writing press releases, whether they actually write them themselves or not so that they can tell whether or not their company is getting an optimized press release or one that is less effective and needs to be rewritten. I think it's a good idea for bosses to study examples of press release and even take courses in writing press releases because this is an essential skill in today's media-saturated business universe. |
