| Writing press releases can be difficult for the many people who try, but there are some very simple ways to go about writing press releases that can really make the corporate image shine. I have written and do write press releases for several major corporations on a daily basis and there are some tricks to the trade that you can apply to make writing press releases a snap. First of all you want an outline—a good press release should span 5-7 paragraphs and should have a solid topic. For example, if you are writing press releases for an online pharmacy you would want to highlight a new feature that the company is offering on their website like, Live Chat or 24/7 customer service, or legal U.S. prescriptions. Then lightly delve into the topic and create four points that outline your approach. Finally you want to end the press release by including some basic and relevant history of the company using bullet points. For example, how long they have been in business, their customer satisfaction rating and the company location and address as well as the press contact. Writing press releases can be a task but if you use the right outline you can get the content you want in no time at all! |
